Tabalong Police Chief AKBP Zuhdi Batubara here on Saturday said cement transports from the Chinese investor have violated Law No. 22 year 2009 on traffic and road transport.
"Dozens of cement transport were netted in 2016 Intan Bersinar code Operation because of cargo exceeding the provisions of Law No. 22 year 2009 that affected damage to public roads," said Zuhdi.
Similar things expressed by Head of Tabalong Traffic Police AKP Fauzan Arianto that cement transport activity of PT Conch in the village of Saradang reap a lot of protests and the police continues to curb.
"Several times we did acts ranging from appeal to the prosecution of the cement transport that exceeds the capacity, but the employer still stubborn and eventually citizens directly intercept a fleet of PT Conch," said Fauzan.
Post interception by residents in Jalan Guru Danau Mabuun, Tabalong Police have secured two trailers loaded with cement that exceeded capacity.
Separately, an NGO activist Rusmadi said to minimize the impact of road damage due to cement transport that exceeds capacity, PT Conch must use smaller fleets such as trucks.
"The Conch must use a smaller fleet, including trucks, that cause no bigger damage the roads. In addition, employers can further empower the local workforce," said Rusmadi.
In response to this problem, Regent Anang Syakhfiani said that the highest leader of the Chinese cement company is in illness condition, but the regional government continues to seek to communicate directly with the leader of PT Conch.
"During this time of communication with the PT Conch only through a translator. It would be more effective to communicate with the leaders or policy makers in the enterprise," said Anang.
