Vice Chairman of Commission III of the DPRD Kotabaru Denny Hendro K here on Thursday revealed, after consultation with the Ministry of Public Works, notification obtained that per 2015-2019 the center has set the status of the road linking ferry port of Tanjung Serdang to Kotabaru capital as national roads.
"Previously, the road along 40.7-kilometer is provincial road, so maintenance is the responsibility of the Provincial Government of South Kalimantan," he said.
Even at a working meeting with Director General of Road Preservation of the Ministry of Public Works in Jakarta it was delivered that Rp1.4 billion has been budgeted as maintenance funds from the state budget.
In connection with the certainty of the status of the road in Kotabaru, according to him, the Kotabaru council will continue trying to fight through the authority. One of which is questioning the status of the PulauLaut ring road , which is connected with the national road.
Among these roads including in Pulaulaut ring road are Tanjung Serdang, Central Pulaulaut Sub-district,Sea Island Middle - Lontar, District of the Western Sea Island, to playing to the barnacle, District East Sea Island including Sebelimbingan new office area.
