Therefore, Suripno said, duck or chicken traders need not worry about the declining sales turnover, because it is only temporary when community do not know how to consume poultry.
Meanwhile, a ducks trader in the Gambut Market complained because till 09.00 on Friday (8/4) only one duck sold, whereas before bird flu cases appear generally dozens of ducks sold.
"With the emergence of bird flu cases, the selling price also decreased from about Rp75 thousand per head, now to Rp40 thousand. And that's not a lot to sell," said trader.
Disnak watchlist recently from 13 districts and cities there are four areas whose poultry attacked by bird flu, namely Tabalong, Central Hulu Sungai, Banjar, and Banjarbaru.
