Barabai, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Regent of Central Hulu Sungai (HST) Abdul Latif requested that the integrated team of forest and land fire prevention post to involve indigenous people to anticipate attack of smog from forest and land fires.


According to Regent, an early land and forest fire prevention would be much better to do than to extinguish, as happened during the 2015 dry season.

"Whatever we do with the togetherness I'm sure will get the expected results, and I hope the team continues to approach indigenous people," he said in Barabai, Monday.

Latif hopes all ranks, especially from 654 Murakata firefighter volunteers (Balakar), always ready to help extinguish fire. While from the state owned company (BUMN) or local government owned company (BUMD) can help in other forms.

Previously, Regency HST conduct coordination meetings for forest and land fire prevention. The meeting involves the 1002 Barabai Military Commander Lt. Col. Dodit Hery Setiawan, Chief Police AKBP Syahril Saharda.

Also attended were Battalion 621 Manuntung Barabai Commander Jumadal Aulia, Government Affairs Assistant H Wildon, Bank Kalsel representative, heads of SKPD, 654 Murakata Balakar members and other invitees.
