If later on BPKP audit resulted a strong preliminary evidence, then the case could be increased from inquiry to investigation,Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Special Crimes Section (Pidsus) of Banjarmasin Prosecutors Office began probing into procurement of pipeline projects undertaken by the government owned Wastewater company PD PAL.
"We're probing into the pipeline procurement," said Head Section of Special Crime of Banjarmasin Prosecutors Office (Kejari) Muchsin in Banjarmasin on Monday.
He said as an initial step in the process of this investigation, Kejari request information from witnesses of PAL PD project.
There were dozens of witnesses who testified, both of PD PAL, suppliers and contractors. There were also some people invited but could not attend, such as pipe and pumps distributor in the project.
To note, the inquiry was conducted on two PD PAL projects in the area of Kelayan and Basirih, South Banjarmasin.
In addition to requesting information from witnesses, Pidsus also asked Development Finance Comptroller (BPKP) to audit the two projects.
"If later on BPKP audit resulted a strong preliminary evidence, then the case could be increased from inquiry to investigation," he said.
He said Pidsus is currently looking for two items of evidence. If found, the case is raised to the investigation and the legal process continues into alleged corruption.
