According to the Acting Mayor of Banjarbaru, the physical construction of dams and other facilities has a progress now over 50 percent complete.
"The construction will be resumed next year (2016) with an estimated budget of Rp45 billion to finish and can be operated," he said.
This dam will help 3,000 hectares of farmland to achieve the target of ​​Hulu Sungai area become one of the largest suppliers of rice production in South Kalimantan.
"The purpose of the construction of this dam right to make our region self-sufficient in national rice production," he said.
