Barabai, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Some young people in Central Hulu Sungai (HST) who gather in Megalitikum Institute will develop a project to make an animation or cartoon based on stories in Banjar language.
According to acting Regional Secretary (Sekda) of HST Muhammad Yani this Banjar arts and culture development program wil be facilitated by the local government. "This is a big potential for Banjar culture that we need to develop together," he said in Barabai, Wednesday.
The government will provide server and PC for them. "Megalitikum Institute will have an office in Kapar Village, BAS Sub-district, and insya Allah (God Willing) after Eid the project will begin to be worked on," said Yani, who is also the Head of HST Youth, Sports, and Tourism Agency (Disporapar).
Nowadays Megalitikum Institute is still collaborating with Megalidium from Poland and then with Brazil to work on animated games.
"So, our human resources is working globally and we should support them. Megalitikum Institute is currently only five people, hopefully more will join and participate in developing creative business through arts and culture," he said.
