Batulicin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Tanah Bumbu District Government, South Kalimantan, held a Group Discussion Forum (GDF) with related agencies in a bid to expedite the formation of TB handling team.

"Accelerating the formation of the TB control team in Tanah Bumbu is a form of contribution to End TB 2030 (the government program) in the city of "Bumi Bersujud"," said Regent of Tanah Bumbu HM. Zairullah Azhar in Batulicin, Monday.

The Regent, DPRD, heads of related offices, Head of STIKES Darul Azhar Batulicin, TB Care Community Groups, regional companies, SSR Program Staff of Penabulu-STPI Tanbu, TB cadres, patients/families of patients/former patients attended the discussion.

The Regent said that the local government really appreciated this GDF to get a complete picture  of the TB handling in order to achieve TB elimination.

In addition, the role of media in the efforts to eliminate TB is very important, especially in term of socialization of prevention and knowledge to the public, especially workers.

Thus it is greatly hoped that through the formation of the control team the spread of TB will be minimized in the Bumi Bersujud.
