We must remain optimistic and continue to make improvements in all respects,"Balangan, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Though not nominated for Adipura clean-and-green-city environment award 2014-2015, the Government of Balangan for the first time get 2014-2015 Adipura certificate.
The certificate was as a form of tribute to the district or city judged to have demonstrated good performance in environmental management, including Balangan. The certificate submitted by the Minister of Environment and Forestry Siti Nurbaya in Birawa Assembly, Bidakara Hotel, Jakarta, last week.
Balangan Secretary Ir Ruskariadi who received the certificate directly revealed that Balangan judged to have experienced an increase in urban environmental management in the year 2014-2015.
"With all the improvements we have achieved, of course someday we can win Adipura. Hopefully next year we can achieve it. We must remain optimistic and continue to make improvements in all respects," said Ruskariadi in his office.
To note, in Adipura assessment for 2014 - 2015, city or town called for the exposure were Banjarmasin, Banjarbaru, Martapura and Barabai.
Meanwhile Head of Sanitation Affairs for Balangan Environment Agency (BLHK) Ramli said, from the results of the assessment phase one (P1) and then phase two (P2), there were significant progress, especially in the market and the management of waste in the landfill (TPA).
Ramli admitted that as a new district Balangan is quite difficult and requires hard work to directly win Adipura, but the increase has been achieved is an achievement and satisfaction, so they become motivation to continue to make improvements.
