Barabai, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Dina Aulia (18), an athlete from Central Hulu Sungai (HST) District, secured a gold medal in the women's 100 meter hurdles at the national athletic championship of the 2022 Central Java Open at Tri Lomba Juang Stadium, Semarang, Friday.
A total of 714 athletes from 113 clubs of the Indonesian Athletics Association (PASI) throughout Indonesia took part in the competition held by PASI from March 1 to 3, 2022.
"Dina Aulia with other athlete from Banjarmasin represented South Kalimantan," said HST PASI Chairman Husain when confirmed on Friday (March 4, 2022) in Barabai.
Dina recorded a time of 13.88 seconds and defeating seven other athletes.
She was born on August 3, 2003. She is from Suka Maju, Banua Hanyar Village, Pandawan Sub-district, HST, and is now studying at Ragunan School for Athletes (SKO), Jakarta, due to her success at the international level.
Dina Aulia won a gold medal at the ASEAN Junior Championship in Thailand in 2019 and in the same year won a bronze medal at the national championship of PPLP in Gorontalo, and a gold medal at the National Students Games (Popnas) in Jakarta also in 2019.
In 2021, she won a gold medal at the PPLP championshion in Bangka Belitung.
She is now actively taking part in national TC for preparation for the Asian Junior Athletic Championship and and the 2022 SEA Games in Vietnam.
M Tahir, a coached, said that during the pandemic in 2020 she went home and coached by him under the direction of Ragunan SKO coach online.
Chairman of the National Sport Committee (KONI) of HST Yajid Fahmi congratulated her for the achievement she had made and hopes her to keep striving, develop herself to gain the achievement as high as possible.
"It should be a motivation for KONI, this sport, coaches and athletes in our region to be more serious in developing ourselves, increase training capacity toward higher achievement, especially in the near future we are facing Provincial Week Sport (Porprov) in HSS," he said.
