Four medals are achieved through exhausting struggle,"Batulicin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Tanah Bumbu Dragon Boat Rowing Team triumphed winning four medals at the `Losari Dragon Boat International Festival in Makassar, South Sulawesi.
Chairman of Indonesian Rowing Association (PODSI) Tanah Bumbu Syamsisar here on Saturday said that four medals are a silver medal in the category of international mix and three bronze medals in the category of national mix.
"Four medals are achieved through exhausting struggle," he said.
Tanah Bumbu rowing team had to compete with 42 rowing team that has a strong physical stamina, including rowing team of Lantamal VI of the Navy, Armed rowing team of the Army, PODSI Makassar, Surabaya PODSI, Pertamina and others.
"It was not easy, they are rowing teams from our own country as well as from Malaysia," he said.
While participants from Iran which has a high posture and strong was the toughest competitor for the rowing team from Tanah Bumbu.
"But with the high morale and a tireless so that the dragon boat rowing team of Tanah Bumbu made it into the finals and won two and three," he said.
Syamsisar said the dragon boat team were taken following the Losari Dragon Boat consist of senior high school and junior high school students.
