Rantau, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Tapin government learned about the application of smart city to the government of Bantul, Special Region of Yogyakarta.
Tapin Regent HM Arifin Arpan said that Bantul is conisdered to be the best district in implementing an electronic based government system (SPBE).
"Bantul District Government last year won the very satisfying predicate. This is our reason to know more about how and the mechanism to fulfiling the assessment indicators," he said after opening Smart City workshop at Grand Rohan Hotel, Yogyakarta, Friday (February 25, 2022).
Smart city, Arifin said, is a city that is able to use human resources, social capital, and modern telecommunication infrastructures to realize a sustainabe economic growth and high quality of life.
"Tapin plans to make an application similar to BantulPedia which is combining various services, from ID (KTP) card service to queuing in hospital and puskesmas service," he pointed out saying that it will be named JendelaTapin.

SPBE, he said, also has other functions , such as overcoming traffic congestion, food distribution, availability of education and health facilities, waste management, eradicating extortion, public sentiment, and endemic diseases.
"There are many benefits that the local government and people in Tapin get by applying an electronic-based government," he expounded.
"We are trying to launch the smart city in Bumi Ruhuy Rahayu (nickname of Tapin) in July, so we have a competitiveness," he said.
