Rantau, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - PT Antang Gunung Meratus's (AGM's) barges have been actively loading coal at the terminal of PT Tapin Coal Terminal (TCT).
After PT AGM and PT TCT inked a cooperation, now a total of 500,000 metric tons of PT AGM's coal are processed at the PT TCT's terminal for fulfilling PLN's need.
“Our terminal has proven to serve PT AGM's coal weel. Of course this is our support to fulfill PLN's coal needs,” said Director of PT TCT Markus A Wibisono, Wednesday (February 2, 2022).
The first shipment was carried out on Thursday, January 28, totalling 7,500 metric tons.

PT TCT, he said, has prepared eight stockpiles with a capacity of 80.000 metric tons to be used by PT AGM. The company also fulfilled PT AGM request for its operating hours to be opened for 24 hours.
"PT AGM could dispatch coal for PLN through PT TCT's terminal at a special price of IDR16,000 per metric ton. Whereas the current price for the general contract is IDR60,000 per metric ton," he expounded.
PT TCT's terminal, he said, is able to serve PT AGM because it is one of the largest coal terminal in Indonesia which has 28 stockpiles with a capacity of 300,000 metric tons and loading capacity of up to 90,000 metric tons per day.
Thus, the distribution of coal from South Kalimantan will still be fulfilled for the state electricity, he said.
