Chief of Banjarmasin State Prosecutor Hutama Wisnu here on Tuesday said the culling evidence of drug crime proceeds was attended by representatives of the South Kalimantan National Narcotics Agency (BNNP), BNNK Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan Regional Police, Banjarmasin City Police, as well as community leaders, youth and religion leaders.
Evidence that destroyed among other G-class drugs as many as 408,149 pills, 770 ecstasy pills, shabu-shabu weighing 1520.97 grams, and dried marijuana weighing 123.41 grams.
Hutama said the evidence destroyed derived from 448 cases already have legal force from November 2013 until September 2015.
Evidence was destroyed with the purpose of carrying out the mandate of the Act, to avoid the emergence of new criminal when the evidence feared to be misused by certain elements for personal gain.
He also expects the handling of narcotics always coordinate with law enforcement, community leaders, scholars as well as the role of the media to preach the dangers of drugs that primarily target the younger generation.
According to him, drug criminal case is currently ranked first in comparison to general criminal case that go in Banjarmasin Prosecutors Office.
