The State Intelligence Agency (BIN) for South Kalimantan carried out a vaccination for 6-12 years old children at the state elementary school SDN Banua Anyar, Batumandi Sub-district, Balangan District.
Head Master of SDN Banua Anyar Julaeha in Paringin on Saturday expressed gratitude to President Joko Widodo and the South Kalimantan Region BIN (BINDA) as well as he Balangan COVID-19 Task Force for providing a vaccination at the school.
"Thank you Mr President, BINDA, and Balangan COVID-19 Task Force for carrying out and facilitate vaccination at our school," she said.
Hopefully, she continued, face-to-face learning at the school to run well while students and teachers are free from COVID-19.
Head of South Kalimantan Regional BIN (BINDA) Brig. Gen. Heri Armanto said that the agency, in order to implement the policy of President Joko Widodo and the Head of BIN to support the direct schooling, held a COVID-19 vaccination for children aged 6-11 years in South Kalimantan.
BINDA, he said, performed the child vaccination at three districts in the province, namely Tapin with 1,500 doses of vaccine, Balangan 1,000, and Tanah Bumbu 200.

"The child vaccination is carried out in accordance with the government's vaccination acceleration program that targets the entire levels of society, ranging from the vulnerable group of elderly and the latest are children aged 6-11 years," he said.
Heri expounded that the acceleration of vaccination, especially in the education environment, is carried out to build herd immunity, for the safer implementation of face-to-face learning but still prioritizing strict health protocols.
The vaccination held in collaboration with the COVID-19 Task Force, Health Agency, Education and Culture Agency, Religious Affair Office, and other agencies to support the the direct schooling which is beginning to be held with 100 percent capacity.
