Pelaihari, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Head of BPJS Health for Banjarmasin Agus Supratman said that throughout 2021 the Tanah Laut District Government has succeeded in implementing the National Health Social Security program for 97 percent of its population.
According to him, of the 300 thousand population of the district, only 7,000 people have not been registered as BPJS participants.
"This is the only district that has such a success, hopefully, it can be followed by other districts," said Agus after signing the cooperation with the Tanah Laut government in support of the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) program, Tuesday (Dec 21, 2021).
Regent HM Sukamta stated that the program was prioritized because health was the biggest investment for the great future of Tanah Laut.
Through the program that guarantees free health service for residents, Sukamta hopes to eliminate public doubts about getting access to health.
"A great future begins from health, healthy babies, from healthy pregnant women," said the Regent.
