Banjarbaru, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The bus fleet facilitated by the Directorate General of Land Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation will soon operate in Banjarbaru City.
Mayor H M Aditya Mufti Ariffin here on Sunday said that there are two bus have been ready to operate and the plan is to start serving people transportation on a number of roads in the city.
"Two buses are ready and the plan is to operate early next year to serve people from Banjarbaru's Simpang Empat (intersection) to the Regional Terminal at the Km 17 Gambut and round trip," he said.

The two buses from the Ministry of Transportation are part of 50 buses that will serve the Banjar Bakula area covering five areas with a buy the service system (BTS).
The Banjar Bakula area including Banjarbaru City, Banjar District, Banjarmasin City, Tanah Laut District, and Barito Kuala District.
"The bus lanes will be integrated with each other in five cities and districts in South Kalimantan so that people can more easily reach one area by just taking one bus," he said.
He said as a first step as well as to introduce the bus operation, the fee will be sought to be free for three months and the next fare will be mutually agreed upon.
