Marabahan, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Regent of Barito Kuala (Batola) Hj Noormiliyani AS received the Child-Friendly District (KLA) award from the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (PPPA) at the ministry's building Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Jakarta, Tuesday (October 12, 2021).
The award from the Minister of PPPA I Gusti Ayu Bintang Darmawati was handed over to Regent Noormiliyani by the Secretariat of Deputy for Fulfilment of Children's Rights Hendra Jamal.
“On behalf of the government and the community, we express our deepest gratitude to all parties involved in the activity,” said the Regent who was accompanied by Head of DPPKBP3A Batola who is also the Secretary of KLA Task Force Hj Harliani and Head of Protocol and Communication Hery Sasmita.

The central government through the PPPA Ministry had carried out the KLA awarding in July 2021. There are 275 regions that have received KLA awards, including 10 districts and cities in South Kalimantan.
The 10 districts and cities were Barito Kuala, who won the Pratama category together with the districts of Banjar, Tanah Laut, Central Hulu Sungai, and Balangan.
Meanwhile, the Nindya category was won by Banjarmasin city, Banjarbaru City, North Hulu Sungai District, South Hulu Sungai District, and Tabalong District.
