Martapura, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Banjar District Government has succeeded in lowering its communities activities restriction enforcement (PPKM) level from 3 to 2 as COVID-19 infection cases continued to decline.
"We are grateful that PPKM which was previously at level 3 has dropped to level 2," said Regent Saidi Mansyur in Martapura, Monday, when chairing the weekly coordination meeting of the Banjar government working units (SKPD).
According to the Regent, who was accompanied by Banjar District Secretary Mokhammad Hilman, status applies after the end of the implementation of PPKM level 3 on September 6, 2021, to be continued to level 2 until September 13, 2021.
However, he reminded the public and other parties not to be careless, because it is possible that the COVID-19 transmission to be high again and will impact the status of PPKM to high again.
"We ask the community and all parties to comply with PPKM level 2, we hope people to be willing and aware of preventing the spread of COVID-19 through 3M," he said.
Head of Health Agency dr Diauddin said that the status of Banjar District has entered the level 2 PPKM and the hospitals in the category of adequate in terms of service.
"Vaccinations have been administered to 73,666 people, 9.73 percent of the targets have received the first dose of vaccine and 6 percent have received the second dose. Sinovac vaccine were 564 vials, and Moderna vaccine were 82 vials," he said.
Director the Ratu Zalecha General Hospital dr Tofik Norman Hidayat said that in the last week 13 people were treated in the hospital, while the total number of people died was 52, 42 of them died in less than 48 hours.
"We hope that the number of active COVID-19 patients treated in the hospital, as well as the number of death, to continue to decrease, so the hospital services to the community are optimal," he said.
