He insisted that research is an obligation that must be met by lectures because they get to fill functional assessment on the employment.
Of the 200 professors at public and private universities in South Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan, only 30 percent have done research.
According to him, the number of lecturers who have done the research is still lacking, so that funds research prepared by the Director General of Higher Education is not absorbed optimally.
"So we encourage public and private lectures to make research, to maximum use of aresearch funding allocated by Directorate General of Higher Education," he said.
He said, the obstacles encountered in conducting research due to a number of factors. Among are less experience in doing research or lack of inspiration to start research, in addition to anyone ever tried but failed.
Kopertis in collaboration with the Association of Indonesia Colleges and Unlam Banjarmasin has signed a memorandum of understanding to help lecturers run Tri Dharma college so that the learning process goes well.
