Amuntai, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The North Hulu Sungai (HSU) government will renovate as many as 207 uninhabitable houses of its residents.
Acting Head of the HSU Housing and Residential Area Office (Disperkim) Najeriansyah in Amuntai on Friday said the fund came from the Special Allocation Fund (DAK) for the Housing and Settlement Sector of the PUPR (Public Works and Public Housing) Ministry's House Repair Program in 2020.
"The number of houses assisted is 207 units spread across four sub-districts and 12 villages," he said.
Najeriansyah said that the amount of assistance is IDR17,5 million per house, consisting IDR15 million for the purchase of building materials and IDR2,5 million for repair wages.
He explained that the IDR15 million fund will be transferred to the supplier shop account, while IDR2,5 million for wages will be given in cash after the work completed.
He hopes the process of work to be done independently by the residents.
According to him, the recipients of the house renovation program are those who live in uninhabitable houses that do not meet the requirements for safety, health, and the minimum adequacy of the building.
Meanwhile, Regent H Abdul Wahid HK visited several houses of the recipients of the assistance in Tambalang Village, Sungai Pandan Village in Alabio, Friday afternoon, to see the extent of the construction progress.
Regent Wahid hopes that residents who received the assistance could live properly after receiving the assistance.
"This house renovation aid is very helpful for the welfare of the residents who receive it. They can more focus on working to improve their living without being burdened by thinking of the condition of their houses anymore," said Wahid.
