Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - All local leaders and clerics in South Kalimantan expressed strong opposition againt Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) movement in the province.
Rejection is corroborated by the statement of the Governor H Rudy Ariffin in Coordination Meeting (Rakor) on Handling Radicalism and Terrorism in the province, in Banjarmasin, Friday.
Coordination Meeting held in Graha Abdi Persada governorates attended by South Kalimantan Regional Police Chief (Kapolda) Brigjen Machfud Arifin, the provincial Military Commander (Danrem) 101 Antasari Col. Inf Suharjono and Head of the Regional Intelligence Agency (BIN) Brigjen Okta Hendarji.
"We agreed in the meeting today (8/8) that the South Kalimantan refused Islamic State of Iraq and Syria," said the number one person in the ranks of the provincial government.
According to him, ISIS has been ascertained as contrary to the purpose of the state, because it leads to destroy the sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia. Similarly, in any religion, especially Islam does not justify their movement, said the two periods Governor, who is also chairman of the provincial United Development Party (PPP).

Brigjen Machfud Arifin reiterated, in his province no ISIS movement has been detected, although there are some elements of the community in this area had joined with the radical understanding.
While commander of Korem 101 Antasari, Col. Inf Suharjono asserted, the military would not remiss to maintain the integrity of the state even one inch from the enemies who want to undermine the sovereignty
of the Republic of Indonesia.
Local BIN Chief Okta Hendardji assured, it has not kissed ISIS serious movement in the province which consisting of 13 districts and cities.
