Police Attacked by Wild Racers

Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - Two members of the South Kalimantan Regional Police attacked by some youth on Sunday (11/5), while dissolving a wild race that often disturbing residents around Jalan Hasan Basri, Kayu Tangi, Banjarmasin.

Chief of North Banjarmasin Sector Police Commissioner Fahmi said on Monday Bribda Iman and his companion become a victim of beatings. Two motorcycles were also damaged by the perpetrators of illegal racing.

However, the police managed to get the evidence of the perpetrator videotaping a wild race, so the police has got identity of the offenders.

"The day after the event , we managed to secure three beatings actors, namely, EMN (21), RZA (21), and DSA (17)," he explained.

Chief of Banjarmasin Traffic Police Commissioner Henry N Chandra adding, it is very appreciative of the quickly performance by North Banjarmasin Sector Police.

He admitted that his team routinely patrol Hasan Basri Road and surrounding areas. There are even some officers who standby around the road which is often used as the wild racing event.
