Governor And Eight Regents Take Campaign Leave

Banjarmasin , South Kalimantan ( Antaranews ) - South Kalimantan Governor Rudy Ariffin and eight regents and vice regents of the six districts in South Kalimantan takes leave for election campaign.

Head of the South Kalimantan Regional Secretariat Administration Bureau Ardiansyah here on Tuesday said, according to Government Regulation No. 18 year 2014, the regional head and deputy are entitled to a campaign leave.

But a leave limited during the work day only for two days in a week, the rest during days off may be used by regional head or deputy for the local election campaign.

Governor Rudy Ariffin, he said, submit a leave to the Minister of Interior with a number of governors and deputies in Indonesia.

Regents who gets a leave from South Kalimantan Provincial Government are Regent of Tanah Bumbu, Tanah Laut, Kotabaru, and North Hulu Sungai.

While vice-regent who ask for leave for the same purpose are Tanah Bumbu, Barito Kuala, North Hulu Sungai, and South Hulu Sungai.

"For regent and vice regent who both submit a leave, the time will be set so as not to interfere with the task of government," he said.

Ardiansyah also reminded that during the campaign leave, state officials is not allowed to use the facilities of the State.

Facilities referred to Government Regulation (PP) No. 9 of 2004 on the General Election campaign by State Officials, a means of mobility, office buildings, home office, and home office belonging to the provincial and district/munacipalities.

It is also not allowed to use office facilities, local radio, the government-owned telecommunications password and 

other equipment such as facsimile machines , copiers, and paper.
