Police Prohibited to Accept Third Party Election Fund

Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - Banjarmasin Police prohibit its staff to receive financial assistance for securing the 2014 election in any form from various sources or third parties.

Banjarmasin City Police Chief, Commissioner Suharyono Sik SH here on Thursday said the 2014 election security fund has been set up by the National Police Headquarters. With funding from the central security police should be ready to do whatever the obstacles encountered later.

It is said, though a little security funds, the police is still running according to the order to create a safe and orderly condition, comfortable and conducive. "If the 2014 election security fund later was less, it still does not ask for or receive assistance from a third party let alone a third party as a candidate," he explained.

Although funds from the central budget has not been received yet, but the police have done security in Banjarmasin. It proves the police keep working. Maintaining security and public order are police obligation as their motto to serve and protect the public.

"The police must be neutral in the 2014 election which will soon be implemented. So in order to be neutral, the police will not accept any kind of aid from a third party , " he said.

Suharyono said , Banjarmasin Police put personnel at polling stations (TPS) depending on conditions. If safe 5 TPS with 2 police patrol and not just settle. If the condition of cartilage , 2 TPS with 5 cops.
