PDAM Ensure Taps Customers No Longer Use Machines

Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - Regional Water Company (PDAM) Bandarmasih, Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, guaranteeing its customers, particularly in the North Banjarmasin, do not need to use pump machine again to take tap water.

Taps company (PDAM) is now repairing the water distribution system by adding a network of piping systems to the area, said local taps Operations Director Ir Yudha Ahmadi to reporters here on Thursday.

"Often heard complaints from people in the region of North Banjarmasin that tap water drag. In order to make it flow smoothly the residents using pump machines. However, power consumption is also rising as a result," he said.

After repair piping systems which are now done, taps ensure residents do not need to use it later. Number of consumers in North Banjarmasin area are about 40 thousand.

In piping systems work, water distribution will be reduced. For a few days, there will be cessation of the flow of tap 

water to customers. In addition , there is a leaking pipe work . Because of that, he hopes customers be advised.

Installation of large diameter pipe 400 mm is located at Jalan Sultan Adam and Sungai Anda, and customers in the 

region will be the most affected in such work, he said.
