Marabahan, S Kalimantan (Antaranews South Kalimantan) - South Kalimantan Energy and Mineral Resources Agency conducted Technical Guidance on Energy Conservation in Barito Kuala (Batola) District.


Batola Regional Secretary (Sekda) Ir H. Supriyono, who represented Regent Hj. Noormiliyani AS, said the technical guidance and counseling is about the efficient and rational use of energy through behavioral changes to energy use, so energy saving culture can be realized.

The activity in the Bahalap Hall of the Regent's Office, she said, as a follow-up to Presidential Instruction No. 13/2011 that the government should be a pioneer for the national energy and water saving movement in order to be an example for the community.

Therefore, according to her, the formation of a task force becomes very important to be realized among the government agencies as a motor movement of energy and water savings.

In addition, she added, this activity as a form of central government support to local governments to be able to apply energy conservation.

Regent also invited the community to conserve the use of electrical energy and at the same time also divert the use of fuel oil with renewable energy that is more environmentally friendly.

Previously, Head of Energy and Mineral Resources Department of Energy and Mineral Resources Agency Hadi Sutikno revealed the current state of conservation in the field of energy has been implemented by private parties with evidence of the use of LED lights and water taps that use sensors.
