Kajati: Looking For Patterns to Impoverish Corruptor

Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - Head of the South Kalimantan High Court (Kajati) AR Nashruddien, SH here on Tuesday said his rank is currently looking for a pattern to impoverish the perpetrators of corruption.

Discourse to impoverish the perpetrators of corruption were being sought by the Attorney General, in order to ensure a deterrent effect to the criminals so as not to repeat the act. In addition to others to think a thousand times if anyone wants to corrupt because the future of law enforcement, particularly the prosecution intends to impoverish the corrupt.

Currently the criminals only charged under the Act of Anti-corruption Court (Tipikor), and it will not make the criminals deterrent for their actions.

One thing to note, perpetrators of corruption is not for food and clothing but to accumulate wealth.

Then came the mode, that corruptor will count as a math of corruption. If for example Rp1 trillion corruption estimated punished only 1 to 2 years then they reckless daring.

"Corruption is a dangerous crime and should be punished accordingly by deeds, so that impoverishes discourse is more precise that they can not enjoy wealth from corruption," he explained.

Nashruddien said, now it is discoursed besides Tipikor the offender snared by Money Laundering Act also to trace where the money from, the money earned and what wealth is generated.

"We're going to explore the corrupt wealth where it is obtained from and where to be used. That is we will investigate later against the perpetrators of corruption, so that his property is also audited. Later then it could impoverish them," said the number one in the High Court of Sout Kalimantan.
