Probolinggo, East Java (ANTARA) -

Downpour caused Gending River to spill over its bank and damaged the river's embankment in Probolinggo, East Java.
"Flooding and strong wind caused trees to fall in Leces, Gending, Tegal Siwalan, and Banyu Anyar Sub-districts, Probolinggo," Probolinggo BPBD Head Anggit Hermanuadi in Probolinggo said here on Sunday.
As the floods started to subside, BPBD officers and local residents jointly cleaned houses that were flooded.
The downpour caused Gending River to spill over its bank and damaged the river's embankment.
Flood waters reaching a height of up to 60 cm also cut off northern coastal road (pantura) section in Brumbungan Lor Village.
