Five Subdistricts in Banjar Hit by Tornado

Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - Five subdistricts in Banjar Regency hit by tornado, that more than 200 houses in the area were damaged.

South Kalimantan Disaster Response Team member Diedin in Banjarmasin on Thursday said that the data showed the disaster occurred on Monday (11/11) afternoon around 17:00.

Post- tornado then conducted data collection in the field. There are five subdistricts were hit by the wind, such as

Kertak Hanyar. Here 83 homes suffered minor damage and 47 homes were severely damaged.

In Subdistrict Beruntung Baru 33 homes suffered minor damage, 35 homes were moderately damaged and 18 houses were severely damaged, so most people had to evacuate.

While in the subdistrict of East Martapura, there are three houses were slightly damaged and seven homes severely damaged, then in the Subdistrict of West Martapura three homes severely damaged.

In the subdistrict of Gambut the attack of tornado left two homes slightly damaged and 13 other homes with minor damage.

Diedin said, totally there are 77 homes severely damaged, 35 homes moderately damaged and 132 houses were slightly damaged by a tornado.

"Until now, residents whose homes were affected by the disaster have been repairing their home so that they could be home again, and we also put up tents to help the victims," he told Antaranews.

To note, from the existing data in the Disaster Response Team and the South Kalimantan Province until the news was revealed no fatalities found during the accident.
