Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - Residents of the city of Banjarmasin ask the police to continue to carry out 'Operasi Pekat', raid to combat criminal, including unmarried couple, that proved to provide a sense of security.
Residents of Jalan Veteran, Agus SP (35), on Friday said the 'Operasi Pekat' by police during the month of Ramadan has been good enough to lower the crime rate.
With a drop in crime and criminal activities, he expected, the raid to be continued even carried out regularly.
People really responded positively every time the police raid the community disease targets such as booze, drunks, thugs, illegal racing, dirty pair in a hotel room, as well as other sex workers.
Not only that, in the presence of the raid, the criminals will feel scared and changed his mind because the police kept and always on the road.
Residents of Jalan Gatot Subroto, Mariatul (45), a housewife, also said she often read the newspaper and see the frequent police raids. She requested that the police continue to raid, especially for unmarried couples.
Head of Police Sabhara Banjarmasin, Commissioner Haryono said it will continue to conduct 'Operasi Pekat' in the city of Banjarmasin.
