Police Seized Tens Firecrackers At Night Takbiran

Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - Police seized tens of firecrackers or explosive fireworks here on Wednesday night. They allegedly used to attack each other.

Banjarmasin City Police Chief, Commissioner Suharyono Sik SH here on Thursday said, dozens of firecrackers allegedly endanger the user's self and others so that the police secured them.

The explosive fireworks were seized from several visitors in the siring (waterfront), where they watched the float festival and the convoy on Takbir circumference.

"Explosive fireworks were used to attack each otherr," he said.

"Actually firecrackers were banned, but not fireworks as long as they directed upwards so they exploded in the air, and not into the crowd and it was dangerous, so police quickly took action," he said.

He said takbiran night in the city of Banjarmasin especially in the city center, including that passing siring Sudirman, extremely festive plus the takbir convoy and fireworks.
