Banjarmasin, 15/5 (Reuters) – Banjarmasin Civil Registration and Demography Agency will soon complete the  electronic citizen ID card (e-KTP) for the 103 thousand people who until now have not card yet.

Head of Civil Registration and Demography Agency (Kadisdukcapil) Hj Rahmah Norlias in Banjarmasin, Wednesday asserted, it immediately makes circulars throughout municipality so that all those who don’t have e-KTP will all have it. "People who do not have e-KTP asked to come to sub-district office to be recorded," she said.

According to her, 486 thousand citizens of Banjarmasin are obliged for e-KTP, but  103 thousand of them do not have the card yet.

About the information that says e-KTP may not be photocopied for various purposes, she said it was not true. The announcement was made whether or not to answer a lot of questions following the circular of Home Ministry.

"Please copy E-KTP by their owners for various purposes, there are no restrictions," said Rahmah.

Regarding the circular of the ministry, she said that the intention was for the ministers, police, governors, BI, regents and mayors take advantage of e-ID by using a "card reader" (chip reader). According to her, the circular was meant for all agencies, especially the service promptly provide card reader.

"Card reader is cheap anyway, this example e-KTP card reader," said Rahmah.

By virtue of Minister of Home Affairs, government and private institutions shall prepare the necessary technical completeness associated with e-KTP card reader as including in section 10 C (1) and (2) Presidential Regulation No. 67 of 2011.

Based on this, e-KTP card that already can be utilized by resident effectively.
