Kotabaru, (Antaranews South Kalimantan) - Kotabaru Government with PT Jasa Rahaja provide compensation to the victims of the Setia Budi burning boat.
Head of the Kotabaru Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Tri Basuki Rahmat in Kotabaru on Friday, said all the passengers get compensation from PT and district government.
For the heirs of the victim's death, Jasa Raharja provide compensation Rp25 million, while for the wounded or burned, maximum Rp 10 million.
The district government through Regent Kotabaru also handed compensation to the victim. Respective heirs of dead victims get help Rp 7, 5 million from Regents, while for the wounded or burned Rp5 million per person.
Motorboat (PLM) Setia Budi serving the route Kotabaru-Geronggang exploded and caught fire on Wednesday (8/5) at around 11:00 am, killing seven passengers. Meanwhile, the survivors numbered 12 people, five of whom suffered minor injuries and two others suffered burns.
In addition to carrying passengers, PLM-Geronggang Kotabaru majors haul groceries, dozens of jerry cans of fuel, gas LPG, and five two-wheeled vehicles.
