Banjarmasin (Antaranews South Kalimantan) – ANTARA News Agency (LKBN Antara) South Kalimantan Bureau and the South Kalimantan Education Agency (Disdik) will hold a provincial leisurely hike for students or high school students in Banjarmasin, Thursday, May 2, 2013.

The cooperation is in commemoration of the anniversary of the 75th Indonesian news agency, which coupled with the National Education Day in 2013, according to Antara South Kalimantan Bureau Chief Abdul Hakim, on Tuesday.

Leisurely hike by involving students or student Junior High School (SMP), Senior High School (SMA) and Vocational School (SMK), to introduce or promote Universal Secondary Education (PMU), formerly known as a 12 years Compulsory Education (Wajar) and to further promote the existence of the Indonesian news agency, said the former Mataram (NTB) LKBN Antara Bureau Chief.

Around a thousand participants involved, while it also received help from a number of partners, including the provision of a gift of savings for students, said Abdul Hakim.

Meanwhile, Chief Executive Ulul Maskuriah added, the implementation of relaxed hike with the start and finish at the South Kalimantan Governor Office, Jalan Sudirman Banjarmasin is themed: “Let's Make Success a 12 years Wajar (Universal Secondary Education) ".

"In accordance with the name leisurely hike, the mileage is designed only about 2.5 kilometers and will be implemented after the 2013 National Education Day ceremony," said the Antara journalist.

South Kalimantan Governor Rudy Ariffin H, accompanied by Head of the provincial Education Agency Dr H Ngadimun, will fly the flag to mark the start.

"Although free of the registration fee, each participant gets a leisurely hike T-shirt that reads PMU successful solicitation or a 12 years Wajar, said Ulul Maskuriah.
