Tanjung, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Tabalong's Office of Communication, Informatics and Statistics collaborates with the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) in preparing a smart city master plan.
Head of the agency Pebriadin Hapiz said smart city experts from ITB provided enrichment related to the concept and implementation of smart city.
"To make it happen, it needs understanding from all parties, therefore we invite smart city expert from ITB," Pebriadin explained at the forum on perception equalization as the first stage of the preparation of the master plan.

Tabalong Regency is one of 100 cities and regencies in Indonesia selected by the Ministry of Communication and Informatics (Kominfo)in the smart city movement. Pebriadin said the preparation of the master plan was also accompanied by the ministry.
Smart City expert from ITB Dedy Siswandoyo said in order to realize the concept of a smart city it needed synergy, cooperation and collaboration among government agencies, the community, and other parties.
"The most important thing is the vision of the regional head to show the priorities and goals going forward," explained Dedy.
Regent Anang Syakhfiani conveyed that in the smart city the clear need is community empowerment through the economy given the many potential regions starting from agriculture, plantation, fisheries and livestock.
