The Tanah Bumbu Water and Air Police Unit (Satpolairud) distributes free food to break the fast or takjil to coastal communities who are carrying out the fasting of Ramadhan 1440 hijri.

A total of 50 takjil packages were distributed to the people who were in the area of Jalan Pelabuhan Speed in Sejahtera Village, RT 05, Simpang Empat Sub-district, Tanah Bumbu.

Head of Satpolairud Adj Comr (AKP) Parman said on Wednesday that the sharing is expected to build partnerships, togetherness and solidarity among others during fasting.

In addition, the sense of togetherness of the Indonesian National Police and the community is increasingly tight through police humanist activities that can be felt directly by citizens in real terms.

"We, as caretakers of the coastal community, want to always be close to the people who work mostly to earn income in the waters, both as fishermen and ship crew members. Of course Ramadhan is the right moment to strengthen harmony," said Parman.
