The Balangan District Board (PD) of Salimah held a public speaking training with a theme "More Than Speaking" took place at the hall of the district DPRD, Friday (19/4).
28 participants were from the district and the subdistrict board of Salimah Balangan. Some members and public also took part in the training which went on from 08:30 to 17:00.
PD Salimah Balangan Chairwoman Murjiah explained, "Most people are afraid to speak in front of many people with a variety of reasons, including nervousness, feeling inadequate, unusual, afraid to say wrong, afraid to blank, and so on in the category of stage fever. "
While the Board of Trustees of PD Salimah Syahridha Elyani reminded that public speaking is important not only for career women, but also housewives about how to communicate well with children and families and other people around.
Speaker H Thamrin said public speaking is a very important skill that everyone should master. The trick starts with small exercises and often, for example in front of the family.
"The basic foundation of successful public speaking includes mastering the topic, recognizing the audience, recognizing the place, imagine yourself giving extraordinary enthusiasm, focusing on the message delivered, not yourself," he said.
In addition to public speaking, H Thamrin, who is a former Head of Batumandi Sub-District, also taugh the master of ceremony (MC). The former head of PR and Protocol of the Balangan government, and now the Head of the Finance Office, explained the close relationship between public speaking and MC.
Salimah is a mass organization of the Muslimah Brotherhood. It was founded in Jakarta on March 8, 2000 by a group of Indonesian Muslim women for deep concern about the various problems that afflict this nation in various sectors of life, especially among women.
