The South Hulu Sungai (HSS) District Government conducted a commemoration ceremony of the 100th Anniversary of firefighters (damkar), the 69th Anniversary of the Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) and the 57th Anniversary of the Community Protection Unit (Satlinmas).
HSS Regent H Achmad Fikry in Kandangan, Thursday (18/4), said the ranks of damkar had a very noble task, namely prevention and rescue efforts. The Satpol PP itself is the guardian of the policies of the regional head, besides being a public control officer.
"Whereas satlinmas is a unit that is tasked with the security and order of the elections and national defense if needed. The existence of these units continues to be strengthened through several steps," he said when delivering a speech from Minister of Home Affairs Tjahjo Kumolo on the HSS government office courtyard.
He explained, the strengthening measures included institutions, apparatus, completing facilities and infrastructure and adequate budgets.
He expects in the future, the commemoration of each unit can be separated. The aim is to better appreciate and enliven these units, especially the damkar which is outside the government institutions.
The ceremony continued with awarding to state apparatus (ASN) who entering retirement, signing a joint commitment to the National Public Service Management System-People's Aspiration and Complaint Service (SP4N-LAPOR) by all agencies heads.
Then the delivery of two disaster management operational vehicles for the HSS Social Agency in the form of a multipurpose truck and Viar motorbike which functioned as a field kitchen during a disaster.
