Barito Kuala's Cooperative and Industry and Trade Agency (Diskoperidag) followed the 2019 Indonesia Industrial Summit (IIS) held by the Ministry of Industry in the BSD Indonesia Convention Exhibition, Tangerang, Monday and Tuesday (15-16) April 2019.
The event was attended by Head of Diskoperidag Purkan SH and Head of Bappelitbang Zulkifli Yadi Noor along with ranks. They mingled with around 5,500 participants from industry players, industrial estate managers, industry associations, IKM actors and industrial sector startups, ambassadors, relevant ministry officials and institutions, governors, regents, mayors, regional secretaries, heads of industry offices, academics and practitioners.
The meeting was also filled with a strategic forum which presented ministers to discuss the transformation of government policies in the face of the industrial era 4.0, such as fiscal incentive policies, strategies for increasing market penetration, upskilling policies and refilling workforce competencies to adapt to industry 4.0.
Indonesian Vice President Jusuf Kalla opened IIS 2019 related to the joint formula that will be built in accelerating the digital transformation of the manufacturing industry sector.
"This year we talk a lot about technological advances that have changed the way of production and social relations. How to receive the benefits of this technology for our mutual progress," he said.
Minister Airlangga explained, Making Indonesia 4.0 is a roadmap that is implemented to achieve Indonesia's goal of becoming the world's top 10 economy in 2030. Since its launch by the President of the Republic of Indonesia exactly one year ago various steps have been carried out as a game changer for national economic growth.
"With the implementation of Making Indonesia 4.0, Indonesia has the opportunity to increase the added value of the national GDP by USD150 billion by 2025. In addition, increasing economic growth is up to 1-2 percent," said Airlangga.
