Nurhalisa Safitri, student of state Islamic high school MAN 1 Banjarmasin, was selected as the first water ambassador. Selection of water ambassadors held by the River Management Agency (BWS) II Kalimantan.
In the selection of water ambassadors that took place at the BWS II office, Tuesday, Nurhalisa Safitri defeated nine other finalists in a series of activities to commemorate World Water Day.
While the second winner won by Muhammad Hafidl Maulana from state vocational school of SMKN 1, and third winner was Annisa Maulidina, MAN 3 student.
Nurhalisa succeeded in winning because she was considered to be very understanding of the importance of water for life as well as being able to develop the idea of water use with the 3R concept.
Her style in conveying ideas and messages was also considered to be able to inspire motivation, so that the judges judged she was worthy of representing the young generation of Banjarmasin as ambassadors of the 2019 water day.
