The Ministry of Village, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration (DPDTT) promised to raise the incentive for undergraduates work as village facilitator

"The promise of the DPDTT Ministry was when we consulted recently," said Deputy Chairperson of Commission I for Law and Government of the South Kalimantan DPRD H Suripno Sumas SH MH in Banjarmasin on Saturday.

According to the retired civil servants (PNS) who joined the National Awakening Party (PKB), the DPDTT Ministry's plan to increase the incentive of village assistants was reasonable.

The reason is that the incentives they (the village assistant bachelor) received so far are relatively small or not balanced with the task burden, said the alumnus of the Lambung Mangkurat University, answering Antaranews South Kalimantan.

"A village facilitator scholar must provide assistance to four villages, while the incentives are inadequate,"  he said.

Therefore it is also not unusual for many village assistant scholars to stop and look for other jobs with more adequate income.

"As a result of the many village assistants who have resigned, many villages in South Kalimantan have no village assistant," he continued.

"Even though the scholar village assistant has a strategic role in efforts to further promote village development, they do not merely help village government," Suripno Sumas concluded.
