Bank Kalsel Syariah seeks to introduce a variety of halal and sharia products from food, financial services, trade and other products to the public through a four-day expo in Banjarmasin.

Head of the Bank Kalsel Syariah Division Ahmad Fatria Putra said on Friday that through the expo it was hoped that the community, especially Muslims, would be more interested and concerned about halal products.

"On this occasion, we prepared 35 stands, which can be used by all parties involved, MSMEs, financial services, travel and Umrah businesses, and others to introduce their various products," he said.

The Expo, he added, is also expected to be able to grow the economy of the community through the growth of the MSME sector in South Kalimantan.

This expo activity, he added, was the second activity, and received a quite lively welcome from the community.

According to Ahmad, the expo activity was also held to enliven the 51st National MTQ in Banjarmasin City.

"MTQ is a pretty good momentum, we support it, while introducing various halal products to the community," he said.

Sharia economy is believed to be the center of new economic growth in Kalimantan, given the potential for a high Muslim population in the province.

In fact, South Kalimantan is touted as one of the provinces, which in the future will become the center of sharia economic growth nationally.
