The Tapin Population and Civil Registration Agency (Disdukcapil) targets to print as many as 24,000 Child Identity Card (KIA) in 2019.

According to Secretary of Disdukcapil Tapin, Sarkati, the target for KIA printing this year has increased from 2018, with only 12,000 KIAprinted.

"We want all children to have KIA in Tapin from the age of 0 to 17 years," he said in Rantau on Thursday (3/14).

For 2019, according to Sarkati, the agency does not prioritize children aged 0 to 5 years to print KIA.

"We really prioritize in the first year, but in the second year there is no priority," he said.

Meanwhile, to make KIA itself is very easy, parents listed on the Family Card come directly to the Disdukcapil by attaching a birth certificate and family card.

"For children over 5 years, also attach photos measuring 3x4, and those under the age of 5 do not need photos, and all are free of charge," he said.

He added, for KIA printing from the beginning of 2019 to March, Disdukcapil Tapin had printed 1,700 KIA.

KIA is the Ministry of Home Affairs program aimed at facilitating children under the age of 17 to access public services and administrative facilities, so that every child is required to have it.

"Every citizen who applies the birth certificate of his child, we will also publish KIA (for his child), that is one package," he said again.
