Pelaihari, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Tanah Laut District government in cooperation with the state-owned public transportation operator PT Damri opens a transportation service to Batakan and Takisung, two subdistricts which is known as most tourists visiting places.

Head of the Tanah Laut Transportation and Informatics Agency Andris Evony said, the route starts from the capital of the district, Pelaihari. "The tariff for Pelaihari-Batakan is Rp7,000 and the tariff for Pelaihari-Takisung is Rp4,000," he said here on Tuesday.

According to him, the tariff was determined according to the survey results, such as the distance to Batakan was further compared to Takisung. In one day, PT Damri's bus fleet will serve passengers twice, morning and evening.

Separately, Regent H Sukamta said, cooperation with PT Damri to serve transportation to the two sub-districts is an attempt by the local government to provide services to the community, especially in the transportation sector.

He hopes in the future there will be additional routes for other sub-districts as Tanah Laut residents need mass transportation which makes it easier to mobilize in carrying out community economic activities.

Meanwhile, PT Damri Banjarmasin Manager Daryon said that Damri service for intra-subdistricts routes in South Kalimantan only existed in three regencies, namely Tanah Laut, Tabalong and South Hulu Sungai.
