Kandangan, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - The South Hulu Sungai (HSS) District Government held an expose of the plans for the construction of the Islamic Center in the Rakat Mufakat Hall.
HSS Regent H Achmad Fikry in Kandangan, Wednesday (1/16), said that the Islamic Center's development process was already underway, especially its social activities.
"The first stage will be building the mosque beside many buildings around the Islamic Center later. The construction of the Islamic Center is very open to those who have the will to participate in its development," he said.
He explained, the Islamic Center was not only built by the government but was offered to other parties along with the government so that the construction could be completed quickly with the spirit of building together, caring for and maintaining together because the Islamic Center is not only owned by the government.
The Chairman of the HSS MUI (Indonesian Council of Ulemas) KH Muhammad Riduan Baseri said in the first period the Regent embraced the ulamas, so that the two components of the ulama and umara (government) jointly built the HSS Regency.
At the beginning of the second period, the Regent embraced the third element, namely the agniya (entrepreneurs/companies) in the hope of being an example of the success of the Islamic Center's development by involving the togetherness of three elements namely ulama, umara and agniya.
"This good relationship will prove that the Islamic Center will become something big, which will inspire the progress of religion, da'wah and the people's economy," he said.
He added, the construction of the Islamic Center follows the history of the Prophet Muhammad shallallahu alaihi wa sallam because the first hijrah built the Kuba Mosque and the Nabawi Mosque, and the second built the Madinah Market as the foundation of the people's economic strength.
The Board of Directors of PT Antang Gunung Meratus (AGM) Yayan Suryana and Benito Mangkusubroto said they would participate in the construction of the Islamic Center mosque. Similar things was conveyed by the Bank Kalsel Syariah through its CSR program.
Also present was Deputy Regent Syamsuri Arsyad, MUI management, ulema, acting District Secretary H. Huberiansyah, Head of the Finance Agency H. Muhammad Noor, banking representatives, and agniya or entrepreneurs in HSS.
