London (Antaranews Kalsel) - Pavilion Indonesia who opened a coffee outlet in the 2019 Vakantiebeurs tourism exhibition in Utrecht, Netherlands, had many visitors till they had to be in line. Most of them were curious about Indonesian coffee and tourism.
"I brought 30 kg of coffee with various types from different regions and different characters," said Deryl Juniar, bartender of Home Coffee Roastery Solo, which provides coffee drinks to visitors in the 2019 Vakantiebeurs tourism exhibition to Antara London on Friday.
Vakantiebeurs is a leisure and tourism event where travel agencies and cultural associations from all across the world gather around at a single spot and present their countries and market their traveling agencies. This year, the number of participants is estimated, 200 exhibitors and 20000 visitors,
The exhibition takes place in the Jaarbeurs building in Utrecht, the Netherlands for 9-13 January 2019 and the Indonesian Pavilion is always full of visitors. Besides looking for information about tourism objects in Indonesia, they also enjoyed coffee drinks and entertainment displayed Indonesian art.
Deryl said, the visitors besides enjoying various types of coffee also enjoy the traditional drinks. There were wedang uwuh, wedang adas, alang-alang, and a variety of traditional drinks made from ginger which warms the body during winter in Europe.
According to Deryl Juniar, many visitors asked where the coffee came from and where to get it in the Netherlands. Not a few who ask how to make herbs at home.
In addition to herbs made from spices, the bartender who has been in the coffee industry for eight years also brought various types of coffee from the country including Papua Wamena coffee, Bali Kintamani coffee, Aceh Gayo coffee, Temanggung coffee, and Sumatra Mandailing coffee.
One coffee fan said that he really liked Indonesian coffee, the smell was fragrant, it was very strong. "I have not found this flavored coffee here (Netherlands)," he said.
Meanwhile, Deryl said he was proud to be able to promote Indonesia through a cup of coffee.
