Marabahan, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Regent Barito Kuala (Batola) Hj Noormiliyani AS along with Deputy Regent H Rahmadian Noor, Secretary H Supriyono and head of agencies tested a new speedboat by circling the waters of the Barito River in front of the Regent's residence to the Rumpiang bridge on Wednesday (2/1).
Fast and sophisticated ships with 250 PK capacity engines was purchased through the procurement process. The ship arrived at the Regent's Residence House dock on Friday (28/12) after a 28-hour long journey from its manufacturing site in the Marunda area, East Jakarta.
"On the way, the speedboat stopped twice to refuel in Semarang and Bawean," said Secretary Supriyono.
The Head of Public Affairs H Saifuddin said to buy this Yamaha-branded speedboat, the Batola Government disbursed a budget of IDR 1.8 billion.
"In addition to the large size, it is also equipped with various luxurious facilities, namely the middle room with two long couches, a toilet, accompanied by the seat for a motorist complete with navigation equipment," he said.
At the back, there is also room to sit and place of fuel and engine and on the front, there is a bridge in which is equipped with a bed.
"This means of transportation is to replace the previous speedboat which was damaged quite badly as well as to facilitate mobilization in reaching coastal areas, such as Tabunganen, Kuripan, Alalak, and others," said Saifuddin.
