Kandangan, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - The South Hulu Sungai (HSS) District Government and the local Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) issued a joint appeal.
Head of HSS Communication and Information Agency (Kominfo) Hendro Martono in Kandangan, Sunday (30/12), said the appeal was signed by Regent H. Achmad Fikry and Chairman of HSS MUI Tuan Guru H. Muhammad Ridwan.
"This appeal invites the entire community to continue to maintain security, order, and comfort in the turn of the year and avoid activities or entertainment that can endanger themselves and others," he said.
The joint appeal contains, among other things, the turn of the year to be used as momentum for each of us to correct ourselves and continue to evaluate various shortcomings, so that we can improve in the coming year.
Second, how wonderful the evening of the New Year's is filled with worship as a thanksgiving to Allah SWT, and specifically to Muslims who fill mosques, langgar, musholla in their respective neighborhoods by performing congregational prayers, reciting dhikr, and praying.
Third, invite not to celebrate the New Year's Eve with various kinds of entertainment, blowing trumpets, lighting fireworks or firecrackers that can endanger the safety of themselves and others.
Fourth, reminding parents to keep trying not to let their children go on New Year's Eve, and to invite them to stay at home with their families.
This joint appeal is also a form of gratitude for all the blessings of Allah SWT so that all parties can carry out various kinds of activities and mandates well, and reach the prosperous HSS in the world and the hereafter.
