Batulicin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - The current of passengers of PT ASDP's ferries for the route of Batulicin-Tanjung Serdang (Kotabaru) is relatively normal before the year-end holidays.

PT ASDP General Manager for Batulicin Branch Yudhi Yanuar here on Monday said the condition of passengers in Batulicin and Tanjung Serdang ports is currently relatively normal. Even a few days ago one of the ships only carried a number of vehicles.

"Actually, the number of passengers at the end of the year holiday has increased by around 10 percent compared to the previous day, but this has no effect on the ASDP service, because the capacity of the fleet being operated is more than the number of passengers," he said.

He explained, the number of vessels operated are seven, three privately owned units and four units owned by ASDP.

The seven operating units each have a passenger capacity of 80 people and 20 vehicles, but the number of passengers on departure does not exceed the capacity of the vessel.

During the holiday season, prospective passengers from Batulicin-Tanjung Serdang Port and vice versa can still be serviced without having to wait in line.

According to Yudhi Yanuar, the shipping trajectory of the Tanjung Serdang-Batulicin route is very different from the trajectory in other regions, so that despite the increase in the number of PT ASDP passengers, it can still anticipate it.
